Let me fix that title for you.

“Elon Musk is a Russian asset.”

You were SO close …

Yes. Is he a Chinese asset? Yes. Much like djt, I know nothing about this life form that redounds to his credit - other than his desire to go to Mars but what did the Martians ever do wrong?

Yes he is. Putin had the first call with him on about 18 March 2022, when Musk was presented with

The stick (kompromat mostly, but also with threats to his investments in China) and

the carrot (proposed financial aid, funding to help him out with his problem — he had to purchase Twitter then)

They gave him time to think about the proposal, he stopped actively supporting Ukraine, he also cut Starlink internet for Ukrainians near Crimea (a year later not only he opened it there, he is since supplying the Russian military with the Starlink internet, including for drones).

While he was thinking, he tried to reach out to the US authorities, including Dem leaders, but in vain for 2 reasons: he had to admit he was too dirty with the kompromat and toxic; Dems really didn't like him.

Meanwhile Moscow was expecting the propositions, and by June-July they also told him to join Trump in his campaign.

Elon accepted most of the deals in August-Sept 2022, and became Leon Z Musk in October 2022.

Except the nazi on Twitter appeared before he bought Twitter. They inserted themselves among the libertarian movement against the lockdown. I had an anti Brexit account from 2016, I never encountered a nazi or even a pro Russia on Twitter. I agree with one thing about Twitter in 2020 or before that: it was extremely left wing. It wasn’t balanced and properly moderated as described by Pekka Kallioniemi. I started to see the nazi at the very same time on Twitter and YouTube: from the end of 2020. In 2022, Twitter was a nazi platform. For me, Russia invaded Twitter before Musk bought it and before the events you described.

That’s for sure, but you can see the difference:

you don’t own a platform that you have to flood with your trolls and bots, which you don’t own.

you own — via Musk — a platform that you flood with trolls and bots.

That’s why Russians spend billions to purchase that platform for Musk.

It’s not only trolls and bots as we would find them anywhere else. I’m sorry but Musk promoted a lot of accounts managed by a single person who was identified very early on such as Ian Miles Cheong. There are tweets from him from 2013 inciting young men to have sex with girls aged 12/13. There’s a campaign against one the European darling of Musk which is going to happen next week. Most of the time, the accounts sending death threats aren’t trolls but actual persons living in the US.

Miles Cheong, Nick Pool, Tucker Carlson, Peterson and the like are Kremlin trolls.

I call them Russian assets. There’s Fidias in Europe. Stay tuned on X, something is going to happen to him next week. I hope it’s going to be a success

Nah. I quit the MatriX 8 months ago, and see no point of being there (but sometimes I want to use Grok for various uses). I recommend all people quit it.

I don't think Fidias matters at all. The Romanian and Polish elections are crucial.

He flew to Moscow several times in the 2000s, then the FSB collected one of the first kompyon him. Plus Russian Mafia and oligarchs were the first angel investors inderectly in the PayPal (that's who they survided the dot.com crisis).

He is certainly an asset to Russia. He repeatedly provides them with advantageous data/things/decisions.

Whether they need to pay him to do it - I don't know. He may be being a Russian asset for free.

Don’t forget the incident when the NLRB computer system was manipulated by DOGE and a whistleblower discovered they had enabled Russian access to secret files of data on American corporations and workers with business before NLRB. Perhaps Musk made that connection possible. But why? Because the information might be extremely valuable to Putin regime? Magic eight ball points to yes.

My question is if that’s the tip of the iceberg. Has Musk given the Russians access to all government systems but we only heard about the NLRB?
